Attaching the infant car seat by using the Britax Römer Baby Safe i-Size Flex Base or the Baby Safe i-Size Base (not included in delivery!) is very simple. Colour indicators signalise whether the infant car seat has been installed correctly and provide additional safety. Alternatively, you can install the infant car seat Baby Safe 2 i-Size by using your car's own seat belt.

At the beginning, the neck muscles of newborn babies is not yet fully developed which is why your child should preferably lie in a flat position. The patented technology by Britax Römer ensures such a position. Adjusting the recline position is very simple - when you adjust the height of the headrest, the recline position adapts accordingly. The built-in newborn insert with shock-absorbing foam padding provides extra support and additional protection.

僑教中心表彰志工感謝服務

紐約華僑文教服務中心1日舉辦「2018年僑務志工培訓會議暨感恩餐會」及大紐約區青年文化大使協會(FASCA)學員榮獲「美國總統志工服務獎章」頒獎典禮，中心主任黃正杰向61名學員頒發「總統志工服務獎章」，並向過去一年服務超過100小時的12名僑務志工頒發「服務感謝狀」。

黃正杰表示，僑務工作離不開志工的付出，文教中心從2001年建立志工制度，每年進行志工培訓，一進入中心最先看到的就是志工，他們是中心的門面、對外的禮儀大使，而且熟悉中心業務和社區，熱心為每位民眾提供服務。

12位獲表彰的僑務志工為林美東、陳鐵輝、陳慧霖、徐明曦、楊維懿、陳雪君、李秀臻、陳莉華、莊巧真、徐有蓮、羅麗玲和王蓉。

一年服務332小時的志工陳鐵輝表示，「感謝文教中心給我們機會，希望我們服務的熱誠能夠影響年輕一代，有愈來愈多的青少年加入FASCA，讓海外的志願服務工作一直傳承下去。」

黃正杰說，僑委會自2012年成立青年文化大使協會，大紐約地區每年有約100名高中生加入，經過培訓後他們進入社區，在「台灣巡禮」、「雙十一」國慶等活動上，都能看到這些文化大使的身影。

當日獲獎章的學生們，過去一年都至少服務100小時，最多的更超過250小時；黃正杰說，未來他們將是紐約僑社的棟樑和中堅力量。

真的挖到寶了！美國有一對夫妻，日前在自家後院種樹，挖到了一個生鏽的保險箱，裡面裝了黃金、珠寶、鑽石、訂婚戒指及美鈔，總價值高達5.2萬美元（約新台幣156.4萬元），原來與7年前的搶案有關。

綜合外媒報導，伊曼紐爾（Emanuel）夫妻住在史泰登島（Staten Island），先前他們住處的樹被鹿啃食，於是決定在自家庭院種幾棵新樹。沒想到，竟在挖地的時候，發現了驚人的東西。

專家推估這塊含有18萬克拉的祖母綠岩石，市場估價約2.38億英鎊（約台幣92.57億元）。據了解，由於巨石距離地面200公尺深，所以花費將近一個多星期的時間，才順利將岩石取出。目前不斷變換祖母綠岩石藏放位置，就是怕當地的黑道會來搶奪。
